The research project was carried out in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, in the architecture department, Copenhagen.
The project was inspired by an initial study of Kurt Schitters - Merzbau, an art project that attempted to create a 'cathedral of erotic misery' that encapsulated all the activities of life, similar to the role of the Gothic Catherdral in medieval times.
The vehicle for the project was mundane strident housing that was known colloquially as 'suicide kollegioum', probably due to the  anonymity, repetition and monotony of the design.
I set out to celebrate the ordinary and daily practices, by extracting the redundant communal functions in each block and combining them in a separate building that discusses juxtaposition , interdependency, ritual, performance, framing and the movements of daily life.
